Petterson and Findus
PETTERSSON AND FINDUS
by Sven Nordqvist
Stage version by Nicole Buhr
from 4 years
Old Pettersson lives with his crazy chickens in a small, cosy house in the country and is doing well. But sometimes he feels a bit lonely. Then his neighbour Beda Andersson brings him a cardboard box with squeaky contents and the inscription "Findus green peas". When Pettersson opens the box, a kitten sits on a green striped piece of cloth and looks Pettersson in the eye. The old man's heart immediately warms. "Hey, Findus green peas," says Pettersson and decides that the little cat should live with him. From now on, everything is much easier for Pettersson, because the house is no longer empty. And he has someone to talk to who doesn't immediately run away clucking like chickens.
Pettersson talks to the cat a lot and reads him stories. No wonder Findus soon starts talking himself. Every morning, the wild cat wakes the old man and they both start a day full of adventures and discoveries. But what a fright! One morning, Findus has disappeared. Luckily there are the Mucklas, who Pettersson can't see, but who help the old man find his little friend again with clever tricks.
The stories about Pettersson and Findus by Sven Nordqvist are among the most beautiful picture books for children. Fans all over the world love the adventures of the inventive Pettersson and his curious cat. Now the story is coming to the BOXX stage as a play with puppet theatre
